Battery


Emergency power supplies such as UPS systems use high-capacity batteries. The Battery Tester BT3554-01 is used to judge the state of deterioration of individual batteries by measuring internal resistance and voltage.
GENNECT Cross’s battery function can be used to efficiently manage battery measured values and battery type-specific thresholds.

Managing data from the Battery Tester BT3554-01

Measurement data stored in the BT3554-01’s internal memory is managed using a group known as a unit. Each unit is envisioned to define a UPS, power storage system, electrical room storage battery board, or similar system, and the instrument can save data for up to 12 units. One data set consists of three measured values (quantifying the battery’s internal resistance, voltage, and temperature), and the instrument can store up to 500 data sets per unit.
Up to 200 thresholds can be stored to judge batteries’ state of deterioration. Each threshold consists of three values: warning and fail thresholds for internal resistance and a fail threshold for voltage.

Real-time judgment

Values measured by the battery tester are stored by GENNECT Cross. In addition to displaying values, you can visualize them in the form of a graph. This capability makes it possible to visualize variability in readings from battery to battery.
Data saved by GENNECT Cross can be shared via e-mail or the cloud and used to create reports.

Batch downloads

In the event a battery tester is used to make measurements in the conventional manner without connecting it to GENNECT Cross, the measured values stored in the instrument’s internal memory can be downloaded en masse to GENNECT Cross.

Savings site names and battery types

Each unit has a comment field for entering information such as the site name, and each threshold has a comment field for entering information such as the battery model. These features help facilitate more reliable data management.

Additional data management features from GENNECT Cross for Windows

Data saved by GENNECT Cross for iOS/Android can be transferred to a computer (running Windows) via e-mail or the cloud. GENNECT Cross for Windows can then be used to view data, create reports, and create graphs to compare data with past readings.
